Oscar Guerlin

Oscar Guerlin is originally from Haiti.  During his childhood and youth, he lived in Jamaica, then in Freeport, Bahamas.  Oscar has 4 brothers and 3 sisters, all living in the mountains of Fort Jacques, near Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  Oscar attended Kiskeya International University in Port-au-Prince for 4 years, studying Administrative Management.

Oscar’s has a variety of skill sets and interests, which helps him relate well to many people from all over the world.  He loves to travel, read, write, and draw.  He enjoys trying new cuisines and listening to Reggae, opera, and classical music, especially when he is working.  He loves dogs and sports.  Being of tall stature, he excels in basketball.  His personal goals are to learn about different countries, especially the history, cultures, music, dance and lifestyles.  He also has a special interest in Architectural Designs.

Oscar revels in constantly “learning something about everything” which is evident in his ability to learn new and challenging skill sets quickly, and with great eagerness.

As the owner of “OLA” (Oscar’s Languages Academy), Oscar carries his experience and knowledge to others as a Professor of Languages, which he does part-time, teaching French, English and Spanish to a variety of international expats, and locals who live here. These are the top 3 languages spoken in our friendly Beach-towns of Bavaro/ Punta Cana.  His teaching focus is to help improve on their acclimation to new cultures and lifestyles, so they can excel in their primarily tourism jobs here.

Oscar came to Reliable Realty with 3 years’ experience as a Freelance Real Estate Agent in Bavaro and Punta Cana; with added experience in Project and Property Management. Much needed skills for our Full Service Real Estate-Project & Property Management Agency.  It is extremely beneficial Oscar knows the area well. His proficiency in the English, Spanish and French languages makes him a great asset to the Reliable Realty team and to our array of service providers and customers from all over the world.

Oscar provides outstanding customer service etiquette.  He is hardworking, organized, self-disciplined, determined, motivated, and has the willingness to learn new skills. i.e. When asked to research vacant land or properties of interest, Oscar does not hesitate to do the footwork and research, making the necessary calls to bring in new listings.  Since we do not have the MLS here, all this research is physical.
